Will You Join Me In Being Audacious?

I don’t know if there was a group meeting about this at the end of last year but the word “Audacity” seems to be everywhere.

Somehow, I caught the audacity bug too.

I started the year by launching the Comms Mentorship Circle platform.

I wrote and completed my third book which is around the theme of audacity.

And now, I am in the middle of planning a mentorship conference for young African Communications professionals.

Let me tell you something I have learnt about being audacious - you don’t need to have everything figured out before you take the first step.

You see those big things you want to achieve in your Comms career? Those great heights you desire to get to but it looks impossible from where you are standing?

You just need to take the first step. And the next. And the next. And you need to have faith. I talked about the power of faith in your career on my YouTube channel today. You should definitely watch the video.

Anyway, back to my train of thoughts.

I used to think being audacious was reserved for really brave people. Those who seemed to have this super human capability to do extraordinary things.

But the truth I have discovered is that the people who do audacious things are every day people who simply dared to believe. They dared to keep moving even in the face of uncertainty and challenges. And being a child of God, I see them as people who dared to believe God!

I invite you to step into the world of the audacious where limits are broken off you and you are confident that you can achieve great things.

I have taken my audacious step by putting together the Comms Mentorship Conference. Let me tell you, it is quite scary for me. I remember saying to the Holy Spirit yesterday, “Is it too late to turn back?

Every time I think about the scale of it, I stop and inhale. This is much bigger than me and my prayer and desire is that this Conference will bless hundreds of young Comms professionals from across the continent.
